Illsent: Are the console and PC servers merged now?
Aug 28, 2019 17:57:40 GMT
Matador: I figured out how to make the new warp cores ckightk . You need to find manufacturing facilities to get the recipe. You can unlock it from a recipe tree, so you get to pick what recipes you get now.

Matador: it takes one antimatter and 1 storm crystal to craft, but 1 hypercore acts like 5 regular warp cells
Aug 28, 2019 19:03:56 GMT
ckightk: Awesomeand that sounds easy to make
Aug 28, 2019 19:44:28 GMT
ckightk: And the servers have the same seed but its not cross platform

Sept 2, 2019 15:54:51 GMT
Illsent: I don't really play NMS very often anymore, but if I ever do go back, I'll be sure to check out the hub. Well, that is, as long as it's on PS4.

“Scrchh scrchhch scrchh low.” -”Where are you?..” (Its was dark. Darker than the absence of all light. It was though as if light had never existed. I felt the darkness; it was unwelcoming. I felt it surrounding me... It engulfed me...)
“Scrchh scrchort system low.” -”Hello?!..” (My body floated in the infinite void, but to where? I didn't know. But it felt like I wandered a lifetime until I heard the voice again.)
“Scrchh support system low.” -”Answer me!” (I was weak, afraid, and very much alone in the vast emptiness. How many days, years, millennium had gone by? It was an eternity until that voice spoke to me once again.)
“Life support system low.” *Gasp Gasp Gasp! (I gasped for air; my senses were coming back to me. And in that instance my body became heavy and I could feel gravity embracing me down as I lay on the soft earth. Light, though blurry, was entering the slits of my eyes.)
(In my agony, I remained there gazing skyward towards the blurry circles of light dancing above me. It was as if these lights had their own life-force, imparting unto me their energy and their dreams. I felt them beckon to me, wanting me... Smaller and further they became and my vision became clear. The lights were now just specks of white welcoming me from light-years away.)
(This is the beginning of my memory, the earliest recollection of myself. What was I before? I do not know. But from here my life begins.) -”The stars, they call for me...”
“Life support system low.” (I continued, knowing the night sky will always be filled with the dancing stars. In the following moments I regained enough strength to get back on my feet, though still weak. What I first saw was an small vehicle just a few steps away, it looks like it can fly. But who's ship is this? I wondered. Stepping forward, the voice in my head says it needs repairing before I can fly. Is this mine? There was many questions processing through me. Would I know how to fly this thing? Where was I? Who am I? I rubbed the dirt off the windshield to see inside. Starlight shined brightly. There was a being who wore a suit and helmet looking oddly back at me. I shot a welcoming gesture and just as soon as I moved my hands the person inside moved exactly as I did. It was me who I saw. Welcomed to this world by the mirror image of me. It was at that very moment I was given my first answer. I discovered what I was, a pilot. This was my first step towards self-discovery.
*beeping and whizzing noise can be heard from a distance.
“Life support system low” (That voice in my helmet was still going on about my low life support system. For the eternity that I felt alone I was thankful to hear another voice beside my own. It told me that I needed to gather resources for repairs and fuel. I took another moment to look at the surrounding area. There were debris scattered around and a flag with unfamiliar symbols was swaying gently with the wind. A cave in the distance shimmered with red, green, and yellow. I searched through the debris for items that would aid me, luckily I soon came upon something that looked useful. It was gun-shaped object. As I reached for it the voice in my helmet indicated it was a multi-tool. An upgradable tool for harvesting resources and inflicting damage. I raised my arm slightly towards the ground and squeezed the trigger. A bright beam of light fired out and scorched the grass and everything it touched. But then another question came to me. Just who or what was I supposed to inflict damage upon?..)
(Conjuring a bit of courage I turned towards the ominous-looking cave. Hundreds of great spires were hanging from the ceiling like enormous fangs. It seemed as if the cave hungered for a feast. It bellowed out trying intimidate my soul, but I kept my pace. Step by step, the gravel crunched beneath my feet. Finally, I was in the mouth of the cave. I was wrong... It was the most brilliant cave I've ever seen, though, I don't remember anything before waking up. Crystalline deposits in all direction emanated lights of red and green. Nodes of iron reflected the light from their surrounding. Plant life and fauna covered the ground and walls. Spores in the air glowing in the cave like the stars in the night sky.)
“Life support system low. Harvest carbon resource.” -”Yeah, okay. Okay! I'm getting to it.” (I needed to fire my multi-tool on the plants, crystals, and metal deposits to gain resources. I aimed the sight towards a shrub and fired. The plant crackled and blackened into blocks of carbon which then zoomed through the air and into my inventory. I fired at the plutonium and emeril deposits, red and green crystal shards flew towards me. I tried to dodge to avoid getting pierced but didn't need to worry. Like the carbon, they too flew into my inventory. I shot at everything in the cave that I could until my inventory was bulging with resources. Using the carbon on my suit repaired the life support system to maximum capacity.)
“Life support system full”
(From this moment I learned of fulfillment, to hold steadfast in the voyage for uncovering the mysterious unknowns. Though, this was just one small cave my journey for answers continues.)
(But maybe I spoke too soon...) *beeping and whizzing noise getting louder...
“Warning! Warning! Hostiles approaching!” (I looked around but there was nothing there except the broken pieces of left over crystals, burnt earth where plants used to be, and melted iron deposits still glowing red hot.) -”Huh? There's nothing here though.” (Just then a barrage of scattered lasers lit up the ground around me leaving patches of scorched earth smoldering with smoke. I turned around again but still there was nothing there. Where did those lasers come from?)
“Sentinel drones alerted!” (Another round of scattered lasers shot at my feet, luckily missing me again. Suddenly, a bright flash of red light caught my eye. I looked up and there, I saw it. Flying machines each with one great eye all glaring at me with seething red light. They were getting closer, the sound of jet propulsion were getting louder. I hurried to set my multi-tool to combat mode, lifted my shaking arm upwards. I squeezed the trigger and instead of a steady beam, a burst of consecutive energy zipped out of my multi-tool. The lasers missed the moving targets and a series of small explosions echoed from the back of the cave. The drones hovering right above me, I knew I didn't want to be there when they retaliate, so I sprinted as fast as my fatigued legs could take me. My heavy inventory made it harder every time my feet struck the ground. With each step I took I became more fatigued. It felt like gravity wished to overcome me at that moment. Now, it was an endless burst of lasers incoming my way from the drones arsenals. The explosions lifted ground around me creating a fog of dust as I neared the mouth of the cave.)
*sound of explosions everywhere
“Warning! Exo-suit damaged.”
(One of the drone's laser beams hit me. I could feel a burning sensation on the back my leg. My mind wanted me to go faster but my legs ignored my mind's plea. I couldn't keep up a sprint any longer. My movement slowed down to a trot. The enemy was closing in on me and I struggled to keep moving. Beams of energy was still being released from the drones hitting the ground around me causing a cloud of dust to block my vision. At that moment I wondered, was it finally my time do die? But my life seemed to just have begun. I only had one memory and it seems as though I would die with only that memory. But still, I wanted more. I wanted to see outside of this cave once more. I would not let the jaws of this cave eat me.)
(But it seemed as fate wanted me to stay here...)
“Jet propulsion system ready.” (I stopped just outside of the cave knowing my legs couldn't take me much further. I didn't understand what the voice meant because the ship still in need of repairs. The night sky was receding, the stars dimming. I took one last glace at the dancing lights fading above me. With them, I wanted to be but I was ready to accept my fate. Still, hundreds of beams of energy was traveling towards at a much more rapid pace. There was nothing else I could do. I wanted to die as close to the stars as I can even if just a few feet closer.)
(And with the last ounce of my energy I jumped towards the stars...)
“Jet propulsion engaged”
(I... I... kept... going up! I was flying! Ten feet. Twenty feet. Fifty feet off the ground until I hovered in place. With the ground far below me I looked into the distance. This planet was beautiful. Lush green forests, grass with the color of turquoise, mountains peaks piercing the clouds, but most beautiful of all was the light gleaming into my visor. I looked towards the horizon and the sun itself welcomed me into this day. I waved my arms to the sun and I greeted back.)
(Since waking up I never figured to check the back of my suit but there it was, a jet pack. My helmet indicated I was running low on fuel so I began to slowly descend. From above I saw the sentinels exit the clouded cave and travel distances in search for me. I landed safely and got ready to fix my ship.)
(The fates had it wrong today; I survived and next time I'll be ready to fight. But a question lingered. Who are these sentinels?..)
