Illsent: Are the console and PC servers merged now?

Matador: I figured out how to make the new warp cores ckightk . You need to find manufacturing facilities to get the recipe. You can unlock it from a recipe tree, so you get to pick what recipes you get now.

Matador: it takes one antimatter and 1 storm crystal to craft, but 1 hypercore acts like 5 regular warp cells

ckightk: Awesomeand that sounds easy to make

Illsent: I don't really play NMS very often anymore, but if I ever do go back, I'll be sure to check out the hub. Well, that is, as long as it's on PS4.

Ok I understand playing with friends is going to be difficult. But I think I may have found a way to make it easier. If everyone's goal is to make it to the center of the universe, then if you and your friend make that your goal you are bound to get closer. And if we get the community to map it out good enough at the center you could meet at the same planet. Or maybe the space station so it's a more specific location. I may just have high hopes but what are your thoughts on this?
Well, as of right now, I don't think we know exactly how players will be able to communicate. It has been said that there will be a way, we just aren't too sure what that entails. It could be a chat system in the corner, but what would the radius of the chat be? There would have to be different levels, i.e. solar system, hyperdrive/comm array distance, or star cluster chats. A full universe of people talking would just be gross. It could be a messaging system of the like that Dark Souls uses, but how probable is it that you will ever even find one? A scavenger hunt across a solar system or larger fueled by little messages with riddles and hints would be absolutely amazing.
The only form of 'communication' that I can think of at the moment and that we know for sure is a part of the game, is that when a player makes a discovery, the solar system that they are in will blink/shine on the galaxy map. This could possibly be utilized if your friends watch the map to see where the blink happens, but that also requires the ability to zoom out more in order to look at a larger section of the map.
If what's mine is yours, and what's yours is mine, then does it really belong to either of us? Or is it up for anybody and nobody to take?
Well I will personally playing on PS4 and my thinking was just be in a party with whoever I was trying to find. I wouldn't be able to handle everybody talking in one chat. And i love what you said about the scavenger hunt, I think that would be super fun. But I like a lot of points you had. And another thing I thought about is we've heard Sean Murray talk about blowing up and destroying space stations and things like that. Unless we are able to get some amazing guns on our ships I don't see how one person could do that alone. And i also understand that we have the AI wing men that will help but how many would it really take to destroy a space station. I think at some point we will need to have at least one other player with us to help achieve such goals. And of course you never absolutely need another player I just think it would help a lot if you did
Anyone else remember Sean saying something like "You will want your friends with you when you get to the center"?
I don't recall that icyflamez96, however, the logic is sound. If you have to mine, trade, fight in order to power up and gain momentum, with such increasing difficulty towards the centre, would you be better off doing it solo or with support? Where there is a will there is a way.
Yeah, I think I remember him saying that, or at least reading about it. That goes along with the idea that somebody made a few weeks ago on what is actually in the center, where whatever is in the center is more of a choice of destination, i.e. choose which way to go. Does this mean that there will be different 'doors' to choose between? I dunno, but I am definitely quite excited to find out! xD

it's been confirmed by Sean Murray that Peter Molyneux is the centre of the galaxy

No, I do not remember him saying that, but if he did maybe at the center of the galaxy you can trade with them or maybe start a new game but you all start on the same planet?

Now that we know its the center of the galaxy, but what do you do there? What is there to see?
