No game enders (e.g 'And then everyone died, the end.')
Don't kill other people unless they've confirmed that you can.
No mind-control or making other people do your bidding.
Try not to make an impossible scenario. Use common sense when introducing themes to allow the story and RP to flow.
You can introduce new elements to the story, just make sure that it does not it effects everyone else drastically or existing threads.
Plan these events and build to them over a number of posts.
At some point your path will cross the path of another player. If there is a need to discuss plotlines and how they will affect both characters or storylines we encourage players to discuss ideas between one another via private message to add to the overall story being told and avoid conflicts.
If you would like, you can post a quick little snippet of a description or backstory of your character, such as their name, planet, faction, etc.
And lastly, have fun! Remember, it's a roleplay, it's not a matter of life or death. Don't get too worked up over it if something goes wrong.
Following the fall of the UBank and the complete collapse of the Units system in the Galaxy, the nomadic pirate faction known as The Armada moved from their hunting grounds in the outer rims of the galaxy towards the Centre, leaving a path of destruction in their wake, bringing war to the High Council in what came to be known as the Bloodshed Uprising.
The war and conflict leaves an already reeling Galaxy on its knees. No Units, no established powers or factions, no leadership or guidance and above all the disappearance of the Sentinels.
The High Council leadership is assassinated. The Atlas at the centre of the Galaxy is destroyed by their forces attempting to prevent anyone gaining access to the power stored at the gigantic facility.
A safety mechanism inside the Atlas dissipates its most important components in the form of fragments throughout the Galaxy in an attempt to concealed them, preventing the destruction of aeons upon aeons of knowledge.
Established factions and new emerging powers race to gather the fragments for themselves. Some for altruistic motives, others to claim the power of the Atlas.
The race to gather the Atlas fragments* has begun! What path will you take? How will your choices affect the Galaxy?
* The Atlas fragments no longer are sentient. They are just extremely powerful artifacts. Some are vast repositories of knowledge, others are weapons, others can affect technology in some unique ways. Use your imagination but avoid creating God like pieces.
Dubai 463 was a space station located around 70,000 light years away from the galactic core, next to the Remus Nebula. It once served as a resort for only the extremely wealthy. A place to take a break from their precarious daily routines, spoil their children, and, of course, do business in circumstances that would not be suspicious. The suites were extravagant, two-three story living spaces with a plain view of the beautiful baby-blue and orange Nebula. It held a water park in which children of the rich once played as the adults attended to the shady matters that brought them there. Beautiful restaurants of all sorts, serving cuisines from all four of the advanced races was where they congregated. Politicians, CEOs, royalty, even High Council members came to visit the beautiful facility. Of course, the corruption following such individuals gave way for the station to have a constant, but not entirely unwelcome, infestation of very successful criminals, who wished to exploit those who came to the station. This, of course, was one of the first places to be taken over by outlaws when the U-Bank crashed. It was now a stronghold for pirates and criminals.
This was where Walker needed to go. He needed to speak with Moham, a Korvax entity that was able to free himself from the interconnected minds of his kind to be his own individual. He now lived his life selling information that very few others would be able to acquire, often for an outrageously high price. Even so, he had yet to lead anyone astray in the information they wanted, and now that currency was no longer the currency of the land, it made things easier for Walker.
Shawn and Jaime stared in awe at the giant golden hangar, that was housing the out of place looking junkers that pirates piloted. The hangar bustled with pirates looking to trade their goods with each other.
"Stay here, stay safe, you know the drill." Walker told the two boys prepared to exit the ship.
"I wanna look around, though!" Shawn complained.
"It's hard to do that when some shady bastard blindfolds and gags you, bud." Walker replied plainly, "Jaime, make sure he doesn't leave, alright?"
Jaime nodded and Shawn crossed his arms, pouting.
Walker grabbed the product he planned to sell and exited the ship. He felt his presence immediately being taken note of by those around him. He knew he would be immediately recognized by the pirates. His reputation implied he was either hated or respected, and those who knew him felt both. Some scoffed, some looked on in silent approval.
Walker was heading to the main hub, and found that it was guarded by a scary-to-the-inexperienced Vy'Keen thug. It's lack of scars indicated that this particular one had seen far less battle than most Vy'Keen his size and age. This one was a deserter.
"What's your business here, Walker?" The thug said, in a deep, brooding voice.
Walker shrugged, "Here to see Moham." He said patting the bag of product.
"What's in the bag?" The thug growled.
"Please." Walker said, rolling his eyes, "You don't care what's in the bag, you just want to be a prick." The thug growled, and Walker stood up straighter, making himself as big as he could, but he was still shorter than the Vy'Keen. "Let me through, or I'll make it so you never ask dumb ass questions like that again."
The Vy'Keen thug stared into Walker's glaring eyes for a long while, then stepped out of the way grudgingly. Walker smiled pleasantly and nodded a thank you. Walker strolled down the main hubs, passing booths offering different items or services, receiving stares that he ignored from all directions. He hung a right and found Moham's booth. The Korvax was reading an ancient-looking book. He closed it when he saw Walker heading toward him.
"I figured you come to annoy me some more." Moham said in a tone that seemed unnatural to a Korvax. Too much normality, none of the immense vocabulary. "What do you got for me, Walker?"
Walker placed the bag on the counter in front of Moham and opened ot to reveal Murrine dust. Moham stared at it for awhile, running his finger along the dust and scanning it's atomic structure. "This should be good enough." Moham said, "What do you need to know?"
"Things that are happening that offer me work. Preferably noisy and easy to find work." Walker said.
Moham nodded, "Well, a fragment of the Atlas has been found by some cultists. Though that's not work... A group of Korvax clones attacked a factory somewhere, strange stuff but I wouldn't send anyone that way. Refugee plague... Hmm... Perhaps the Armada..."
Walker chuckled "The Armada is up to something? Well I never!" He said sarcastically. Moham laughed.
"Yeah. The Armada has some internal issues. Pretty sure they have some kind of new leadership judging by how their movements are beginning to become more coordinated again. May be Nomad (deustriplo) himself, or Councilor Twighlight. No way of being sure, really. They have some issues with deserters who ditched the flotilla before that huge clusterfuck happened at the center. Some of those deserters are starting to carve out their own little pirate nation in the outer edges. The Armada might be able to give you work with all that crap on their hands, and they probably don't hate you too much after the Daruk'Shal service you provided them." Moham explained. Walker nodded.
"Okay. Can you contact them? Ask them if I could go over there and work out a deal?" Walker asked.
"Will do." Moham said. "By the way, Walker. Those two kids you got were a good steal. I'm fairly sure Jacob Virtus survived the explosion. An Ether Fox sized ship warped out of the way just as the Atlas exploded."
Walker smiled, and waved. Things may be working out after all.
Everything is as it is, but almost nothing is as it seems.
Moham leaned back in his chair when he was patched into Nomad (deustriplo). Moham hadn't seen the man himself before but he was surprised at how accurate the rumours about him were. Bulky, even through the miniature holographic display, with scars all over his arms, a truly intimidating piece of work to most.
"Void Reaver." Moham said with a respectful nod.
"Who is this?" Nomad asked indifferently.
"Just a messenger. My name is Moham." Moham responded.
Nomad raised his eyebrows in recognition of the name, "Aaahh... The cutthroat prophet. What's the message you want to convey?"
"Walker, I suppose you know exactly who that is, wants to head toward the Armada seeking work." Moham sent Nomad an image of Walker just in case he didn't recognize him. Walker had a fairly lean build, but was stronger than he appeared at first glance. He had wild, brown hair and quite a bit of stubble. He could be easily recognized by the trench coat he made himself out of some rare leather. "If you guys are willing to work out a deal."
Nomad sighed. He likely knew that while the actions of normal mercenaries could very well set off an easily handled domino affect, Walker's messes were often hard to clean up as the man's baggage seems to get dumped wherever he goes. Then again, The Armada could use someone woth Walker's skill set.
"Take your time." Moham said, awaiting a response.
Everything is as it is, but almost nothing is as it seems.
Nomad stared at the Korvax entity on the holo comms pad. No easy feat to contact one directly that was moving through the void. However Moham was a name. A renowned info broker that had wandered away from the collective mind of his species. Same said that when he died one day his mind would not return to the Echoes. He was almost human in that sense. The Archangel knew of Walker by name and reputation. Mercenaries were volatile and unpredictable at the best of times. The Armada had very little need to use their services in the past. There were very few mercenaries left in the Galaxy that still adhered to the Vows of Xian, where one would honour his contract to the end even if higher payment was offered. He leaned over to the holo emitter. "We might have something that he could lend his expertise to..." he said in his usual growl. "No guarantees he would take it nor that we would offer it to him yet." he looked deep into the swirling lights of the Korvax's casing. "I would judge the mettle of the man before offering him a commission. Give him these coordinates. If he is willing, ask him to meet me there in 20 sols." he said and switched the link with a nod. The coordinates were for a space station in the Argora system, a lawless arm of the Dome Fringe.
He leaned back on his chair and rolled his shoulders. He was tense. The rebuilding of the Armada into a more efficient and powerful entity meant stresses and challenges he had not encountered before. A voice came from behind him. "Do I have to drag you to bed?" he grinned and jumped into her waiting embrace.
See you all around the orbit of some dark strange star!!!
With the burial of Reg Chukesys started up the factory production
"Alright fellas we're..."
A blinding flash of light stops Chukesys from speaking
"what the hell?"
"it's me chukesys"
"me Reg don't you remember"
"Reg? But how? You died in the battle didn't you"
"no the atlas has accepted my offerings and made me a deity"
"a higher power..."
"I've accelerated time on this planet so our goal gets accomplished even faster"
"But how does that work? And didn't the atlas explode?"
"I can't tell you the status of the atlas interface but the lost race who built the atlas interface are still lurking about"
"I can use Magic now"
Reg pulls out a modified slingshot from thin air
"this is a sniper shot much more powerful than that ghost rifle of yours"
"My ghost rifle is still my ghost rifle i'll never replace it"
"I'm not telling you to"
"i'm just bragging..."
i mumble "bastard"
"uh so what does it do?"
"we're in a time portal right now so i can train freely. i'm about to spawn in a human like ragdoll so watch this."
Reg pulls the sling back but i can't see any ammunition
"Uh... where is the ammo"
Reg releases the sling and out of nowhere a giant, green, transparent crocodile snaps the head of the dummy in two
"What is that, what, who, how, when"
"i'll show you in a minute after i explain whats happening right now"
"right now your physical body is neither here or in the real world it is non existant. and i'm gifting you with a power to slow time down in your eyes so it'll be like that one movie called the matrix or something. so when we korvax clones die we can take up a new body/interface or offer atlas something of value such as an army willing to serve."
"not our army though right?"
"not ours instead that one faction that has no presence in the galaxy the United Axico Federation"
"never heard of them..."
"well you never will ever again because i just offered every body who was a part of that faction up to the gods"
"now thats evil mate"
"survival of the fittest..."
"well fair enough..."
"IF the gods accept your offering you are granted special powers like my deity powers."
"The Armada is prepared to make a deal." Moham said through the channel. "Go to them in twenty sols."
"Great." Walker responded, "The catch?"
"You'll be seeing The Void Reaver (deustriplo) himself to make this deal, and you'll have to prove yourself worthy." Moham responded, "As in show you have honor or something like that, as difficult as that would be for you."
"What?" Walker laughed, "I'll be the first to tell you I'm the most honorable guy I know."
Moham grunted his disagreement and Walker laughed again. "Don't worry about it." He said, "He should know I've helped the Armada before and if he wants me to play a part I can fit whatever role he wants me to."
Moham chuckled and shook his head. "Make sure you use big words, you prick."
"Will do." Walker said, "Take care, brother." With that he ended transmission. He stood up. Twenty sols should be plenty of time to get to the outer rim. Would be fairly boring, though, especially for the two boys.
He stretched his arms as he pondered on more training exercises he could do with them. They were ready to learn a bit about piloting and engineering to go along with combat training.
His train of thought was interrupted by Shawn, "You're working with the Armada?" He asked in an clearly hurt voice.
Shit. Walker had completely forgotten that these boys were brought up by Ether Foxes. The damage the Armada has done to them would still be fresh in their minds.
Best be honest. "With them, not for them." Walker said, "People like me need employment from someone, and the Armada isn't my enemy as long as they pay."
"YOU SON OF A-!!" Shawn yelled, fuming, but was interrupted.
Jaime walked through the door, "Shawn." Shawn turned, glaring at his younger brother, "The Armada still has Lilith."
Shawn's rage fell quickly as he realized what his brother was suggesting. "Who's Lilith?" Walker asked.
"It's none of your business!" Shawn snapped.
Jaime shook his head and stepped in front of Shawn, "She's a fox, like us. We need to help her." He said.
"No." Walker said immediately. "Absolutely not. I'm not going on a charade to save someone who's likely dead. I have a lot of enemies, but the Armadans are the last people I want to piss off."
"But-" Jaime started.
"No!" Walker interrupted. He slouched back down to his chair. He ran his hand through his uncombed hair, "I'll teach you guys something new today," He said, suddenly tired, "Go to the mid-room, get ready to warp."
The two boys, defeated, left the bridge. Walker turned his chair toward the void and began to initiate warp procedure.
Everything is as it is, but almost nothing is as it seems.
After a few hours of hiking Elevation suddenly came to a stop next to a small boulder. "What's the matter?" Fin(ProxyFox) asked. "Yea what's the matter body guard? Sun got to your head?" Fennec(Fennec) asked in a sly tone. Elevation looked at the rock for a few moments before turning, "Were here", he said simply and bent down. He pressed his hand against the rock and a female robotic voice spoke "access granted, welcome Elevation to the USSF North dune mining bridge." The ground around them shook for a second and then started to lower as they were transpoted to the mining beidge.
As they reached the main bridge a female voice spoke up "Welcome Comander Elevation!" Elevation spotted a girl come up to them. Once she saw who he with she stopped, "And uh who are these people?" She asked in a worried tone one hand hovering over her multitool. "Not so fast" He heard Fennec say as he drew his blaster. Elevation rolled his eyes and pulled his gun down, "cool it got shot or the security will get to use you for target practice." He turned his attention back to the girl.
"So miss ..." Elevation started. "Tamari" she said when she realized he didn't know her name, "Pfc Tamari Rowe" Elevation studied her for a sec before he carried on. She was a pretty girl with steel blue eyes that were full of confidence and had a nice frame, her dirty blonde hair was held back in a bun to keep the hair from interfering with her work. "Right Temari, were badly in need of some food and water. Also, me and Finn here are going to need some quality time in the med bay." He said motioning to his and Finns wounds. "Oh my gosh!" Tamara said in a worried tone, "I'll get you there right away. Follow me!" She said and turned "oh by the way the mess hall is down that hall and it's the first left!" She called over he shoulder as she lead Elevation and Finn to the led bay.
Gakshok was losing patience. He paced back and forth down the hall way as Fennec greedily ate the meat that was offered to him back at the mess hall. Fennec sat up against the wall next to Amelia, who was eating the same meal as Fennec.
"I don't like this." Gakshok grumbled.
"Relax," Amelia said, "We'll leave once Finn is fixed up."
"Fennec." Gakshok cut in, "The only reason he took us this far was for the Atlas fragment. That's the only reason! He'll (Elevation) take it when he has the chance!"
Fennec shook his head, "Not gonna happen." He said, "Not gonna let it happen." He felt Auraxis in his pocket to make sure she was still there. Lately he had been refusing to part with her.
"It's going to happen if you don't make a move, boy." Gakshok said, "and soon."
The flight to the given location was long, boring, and ripe with suspicion. Walker had already lost the trust of the boys, so he decided against teaching them basic piloting skills for the time being. He still needed them while Jacob Virtus was still alive and in possession of an Atlas fragment and he didn't want the boys to fly off some where. The two boys avoided talking to Walker, and only seemed to speak to each other in whispers. Walker knew he was planning something, and that when they made their move he'd have to restrain them again. An action he would dread doing.
The location in question was a backwater space station for outcast pirates and people who didn't want to be found. The interior only had a few ships, the one sticking out the most was a small ship often deployed by the Armada for dogfighting, bombing, or hit and run attacks. Once his ship touched the floor of the dock, Walker prepared to leave, bringing a weapon just in case there were any pirates who didn't like him.
He knew the boys would do what they did. As he walked toward the ship's door, Jaime pounced from the ceiling, just as Walker had taught him, climbing on his back, and trying to get at his eyes. Walker easily pulled him off, with immense regret. Shawn charged the hallway and tried to tackle Walker, who easily threw him into Jaime. As they did many times, the two boys fell together. Walker stood there for a second, then set his multi tool for stun. He hit them both, they lost consciousness immediately. Walker secured the two boys in handcuffs and activated a strict alarm code. He sighed as he exited the ship, making his way toward the reserved room where they were meeting.
Everything is as it is, but almost nothing is as it seems.
Reg throws me the Sniper shot "it's lighter than i thought" "Indeed it is, it's made out of Eurovian metal. "Eurovian metal so that old spirit metal they shot into several other galaxies because of how unstable it was." "Correct give it a shot" i pull the sling back and let er rip then out of nowhere a transparent hawk blazes past and straight through the head of the dummy. "Ah so your spirit animal is a hawk" "i used to own a bird called Ripley i don't know where he ended up perhaps we'll meet again" "Well you want to know something special?" "What?" "That's Ripley right there" i whistle and sure enough the bird flies over. "Ripley is that you?..." *Scraw* hearing that i immediately feel my eyes starting to water. "So you didn't make it..." "i'll resurrect Ripley for you." "You'd do that?" "Of course"
Ripley materializes in the hands of the body i inhabit in this world. "I'm sending you and Ripley back and i'll be there in a few"
Golmin Mokuing was getting old. Too old to even remember how many seasons ago he was born. Too old to not take this last chance to join his name to the hallowed Hall of Fame of the Void Marauders. He looked at the old envelope on the table in front of him and took a swing of what passed for spirits at this dead station. It burned going down and made his eyes water. tasted like pipe cleaner and antifreeze. Good stuff. The stylised Vy'keen number 13 seemed to burn memories of the last hunt in his mind eye. His shoulder joint hurt like a fire demon where his metal arms attached to his flesh. This would be his last chance at one of the mythical Hunts and he would not let anything stand in his way. He poured himself another measure and drained it fast. He had been so close last time. So close to harpoon the beast before it disappeared into the 4th Dimension once again. So close before a flick of its monstrous tail had hit his ship and almost destroyed it completely. He had been thrown like a rag doll inside the cockpit and broken more bones that I cared to remembered. His left arm had been crushed against a bulkhead and later amputated.
And here he was once again. 50 years after looking at the same envelope from the ancient society of hunters who pride themselves, not only on the killing of the largest and rarest of beasts, but also on the honour and values of 'the hunt'. The back was sealed with a large imprint of two massive creature heads held by a man, arms raised above his head. He wondered what his target would be this time and even if his mind and body screamed and wished to avoid the dreaded space whale part of him wanted another go at the beast that took his arm and left him for dead.
He finished his liquor and opened the envelope. For a few heart beats he only stared at his prey. Time seemed to slow down as he looked at the latest coordinates where he could find the illusive beast according to the ancient society. "I will get you this time, beastie..." Golmin swore.
See you all around the orbit of some dark strange star!!!
Elevation sat down on one of the beds and Finn(ProxyFox) sat down on the one directly across from him. "Excuse me commander Elevatiom you can take off your mask now" Tamari said in a polite voice. Elevation turned his head to her, "Sorry cutie but I'm quite alright." As he finished his words he dropped a grenade looking object on the ground. Tamari's eyes widened as smoke started pooring out of the small smoke grenade. He looked over at Finn who stood but as soon as he inhaled the smoke started to stagger. A smile started to form on Elevations face and he stood up and smoothly walked over to Finn. Finn looked up at Elevation confusion filling his eyes, "Don't worry this won't kill you, I just thought you could use a long nap." Elevation snickered as he left the room.
The smoke started traveling through the air vents filling the compound with the smoke. Elevation strode confidently through the compound stepping over unconscious guards and workers. He stopped right in front of the cafeteria where the others were, 'Well here goes nothing' he thought to himself before opening the doors.
He spotted the group a couple of tables ahead of him. "What the hell is going on?" Fennec(Fennec) demanded, "and where is Finn?" Elevation paused a second before he drew his blaster and shot Fennec right in the shoulder. He saw the group look wide eyed at Fennec. Elevation walked over and dropped another smoke grenade, "I knew you would do this!" Elevation heard the pesky Gek yell before he charged him.
Elevation didn't even turn his head, he raised his blaster and shot the Gek right in the chest. The Gek crumpled onto the floor and he turned his attention back to Fennec. "Sorry assling, try not to take this too personal" he said as he searched his pockets. He pulled out the Atlas shard and held it up to the light, "There you are my beauty" Elevation said turning back to Fennec, "Lights out for you."
Fennec gave a worthless attempt at reaching for the Atlas shard but he was met by Elevations fist. Elevation quickly ran out of the cafeteria to the landing bay and hopped in the nearest fighter, "I have about a 15 minute head start' he thought to himself as he powered on the ship. The roof of the cave slowly started to open as he accended. Once he cleared the cave the pushed the throttle down and blasted out of the atmosphere. He pulled up the map and selected a certain system near the inner region of the Galaxy. The warp drive booted up up and then he warped out of the system.
"Fennec!" Her voice echoed in her head. The dream again. She collapsed to the floor, all lights out, then she rose again, shaking violently, searing the way out into his mind. Fennec memorized every detail of the Atlas interface in his dreams, every inch of the giant space station. Information that was useless, nonetheless forever with him, haunting him.
Fennec woke up. Amelia and Gakshok lay next to him on the floor. He took slow, deep breaths. Elevation had shot him in this shoulder. It was always his damned shoulder getting injured. He used his good arm to push himself off the ground. The facility was quiet, it had been evacuated, save for Fennec and his group.
Fennec groaned as he stood on shaky legs. He looked around. Definitely empty. "Gakshok." He said, bending down and patting his friend. The Gek didn't move. "Gakshok?" He rolled Gakshok over, to find a fatal wound going through his heart. Fennec stared at his limp friend for a moment, with little reaction. Fennec mourned internally, he had to focus. He turned to Amelia, who lay on her side, checking for wounds. She was breathing fine, she seemed stable, the only wound being a large knot on her head where she had been struck. Fennec breathed a sigh of relief, a relief shattered by the realization of what had happened.
Elevation had taken Auraxis. "No..." Fennec whispered, as he began desperately patting his pockets, "No, no, no!" He almost became fearful, as if something bad would happen if Auraxis wasn't there. This was replaced by rage. Now forgetting Amelia, Jacob Virtus picked up his multitool, heading through the empty corridors to the med bay to find Finn.
Jacob pried open a half closed door to find Finn and the Tomari girl laying on the floor. He ignored her, and moved to grab Finn and take him to Amelia so they could prepare to leave when he heard Tomari cough.
Jacob turned and pointed the multitool at her.
"Please..." She said.
"Where are the ships stored here?" Jacob asked, calmly, yet coldly. Emotion absent from his voice or face.
"In storage on different levels..." She said, she was shaking. She was a new recruit who didn't expect this, "There may be a few more, I don't know..."
"Where is he taking the fragment?" Jacob asked.
She began sobbing. "The what?"
"The Atlas fragment."
"There was an Atlas Fragment here?"
Jacob didn't have time for her ignorance. He shot her between the eyes, without hesitation or remorse. He turned back to Finn. He just needed them to get off this planet.
"Fennec..." Finn's (ProxyFox) voice wheezed, "What did you just do?"
Without response, Jacob dragged Finn down the corridors to Amelia, who had begun to stir.
Everything is as it is, but almost nothing is as it seems.
after i was sent back to our world a korvax not a clone but a real korvax came running towards me wherever i was. now that i think of it i wasn't on the snowy, industrial planet anymore. "Hey you!" "Me?" "Who do you think i'm talking to" just as i was about to say something i was cut off by some Pirates "What in the void reavers name you doing here punk" i see Ripley in the tree in front of me and know what to do. "AYYY I"M TALKIN TO YA!!!" "Allow me to introduce myself i'm Chukesys THE LEADER OF THE FOUR HORSES" i then whistle and of course Ripley swoops the guy in front. i pull out my set of throwing knives "heh i forgot i had these"
but rather than throwing them i toss em over to the korvax watching the ensuing fight. "Use these if things get out of hand mate" i would've killed everyone here but i sympathize with this poor korvaxian fella. i mean i was practically raised by the korvax and did all the required teachings i don't remember my parents or any siblings but know i had em... The fight was just about to start and of course they chose blasters instead...
"righto then guys lets go i'll take you on with just my fists" "HAHAHAHAHA this guy take us with just his fists..." they mock me and i use this to steal the first hit "shut your gullets you rum-drunk fools. let us do battle" i figure this would be the best time to use my new ability to slow time through my eyes. time gradually slows and i see the shots from the blasters coming my way.
i duck under the shots and jump into the air and return time back Ripley lands on my shoulder "Hang tight mate" i fly like a stereotypical superhero toward em with one arm out and... presto they're out like bats during the day... i revoke their weapon privileges take anything of moderate value and give em to the korvax bloke... i go back and look at the uniforms... "ARMADA?! So thats why they were talking about "The void reaver" deustriplo"
"Well then i don't know what these two were doing this far out but even then i have no idea where i am and i don't know where Reg is either" i walk over to the onlooking korvax who looks somewhere between amazed and scared. "please don't hurt me" "have no fear i do not wish to harm you" "you don't?" "no" "i'd like to ask a few questions not only about those pirates but also about where i am" "uh... sure i'll take you back to the village."
we walk for about 15-20 minutes before arriving. "this is a nice place you have" "This is Yoituri village my home""come with me to the town hall i will tell the leader of you valiant efforts" "Uh ok"...
Holly and the other Atlas black ops members flanked Kain as the walked through the hallway of the space station to the bar. Holly and the Atlas black ops wore full combat exosuits and were covered by smoky black cloaks. They wore Atlas shaped masks and each member had a different colored pulsing orb in the middle. With the power of the first Atlas shard Kain and his Black ops body guards were able to communicate telepathically. Pieces of the shard were taken and placed in each of the masks the black ops wore and Kain had a custom earpiece he wore.
As they entered the bar without speaking the Atlas black ops members split up and took up different vantage points around the bar. Holly stayed with Kain and they took a seat at a booth towards the back of the bar. They were supposed to meet a supposed ex-USSF field commander(Elevation) who claimed he had an Atlas shard. Holly had his suspicions of what this ex-commander wanted from their newly forming cult as they didn't have much to offer.
As they were sitting he heard the thoughts of one of the blacks ops, 'heads up here's our commander'. Holly looked over and sure enough a man in USSF attire came strolling in looking around nervously. 'Thank you Bone' Kain replied telepathically. The USSF commander looked around before he spotted Kain and Holly in the back. He slowly approached and sat down.
"Hello Mr. Kain", Elevation said and then he slowly reached for something under the table. Holly with lightning speed drew his mulitool and aimed it at the commanders head. "Now now let's give the fella a chance shall we", Holly heards Kains calm words and he slowly crossed his arms. Holly watched as the commander slowly took out an Atlas shard and placed it on the table, "This is what I have to offer", Elevation said with a grin.
Elevation took a better look at Kains apparent body guard(bHolly). When he had first walked in he mistook him for a simple Korvax but upon closer examination he noticed that his mask looked like a miniature Atlas but instead the pulsing orb was an ice blue. Elevation knew that the mask held some sort of unseen technology only possible from the Atlas shards this cult possessed. Whoever he was he also possessed a high level of training and speed to have drawn his blaster that fast. 'I'll have to stay on this cults good side", he thought to himself. Elevation scanned the bar and noticed about 8 others that had the same Atlas looking mask each with a different color.
"Well mister Elevation", Kain said after a while, "I'd love to sit here and stare at each other all day but I have other matters I need to attend to." Elevation snapped back to attention, "Right sorry, in return for this piece of the Atlas I wish to gain access to the knowledge of where the Bolvix system is." Elevation waited for a response. Kain sat there for a few moments before he spoke, "I believe that is a fair trade." He said pulling a small chip from his cloak, he passed it to Elevation who put it in a pocket on his waist belt.
As Elevation stood up to leave he added, "By the way there may be a crazy kid looking for that Atlas shard." Elevation knew Femnec(Fennec) would stop at nothing to retrieve her and would kill anyone who got in his way mercilessly. "We can handle it", came a deep and distorted voice from Kain's body guard. The voice startled Elevation, "Well don't say I didn't warn you", he shrugged and turned to leave, 'Ah I'm going to miss Fennec." He thought to himself.
Fennec came out of warp in the rendezvous system where the Ether Foxes slipped to after they escaped Avalon. The planet was rocky, red, and inhospitable to life. The gaseous atmosphere also interrupted unadapted systems, which made finding anyone there very hard to do.
Fennec turned to his comrades. Amelia was mending Finn's wounds, which seemed to be getting worse. Finn slipped in and out of consciousness. Fennec already patched up his own shoulder wound, and would have to treat it later.
He initiated his at the outpost, and as expected, he was told to give a clearance code, which he did. The person on the other side of the comms was surprised to find the three of them alive. Fennec landed next a few ships lined neatly on a flat bed of rock. He exited the ship, helping Amelia get Finn down. The few Foxes who were there were somber, dark. Not in the least bit happy to see Fennec.
"Virtus, Amelia." Commander Murphy's voice came from behind them, "I want a report. What the all manner of hell happened."
"Not out here." Fennec said.
"Everyone here deserves to know." Murphy retorted.
"They don't want to hear it from me." Fennec whispered.
Murphy stood silent for a long moment. "Follow me." She said.
She took them to a small sleeping shelter, complete with plants lining the wall that gave the small room oxygen and a mattress on the floor. Next to the mattress, books lay scattered.
"Tell me everything." Murphy said. Fennec did. From the moment they broke from the group, all the way to the end. He left out the details on his obsession with Auraxis. He tried not to think about it but regardless, the Atlas Fragment was all he actually thought about.
"Sweet Murray." She said. She turned and slammed her fist against the wall. "What the hell is happening? Everything is falling apart!" She was so frustrated. She was barely holding the Ether Foxes together.
'To hell with everyone.' Fennec thought, "I want to see my brothers." He said. Murphy froze. "Where are they?"
"Jacob..." Murphy said in a sad voice. Fennec knew what she was implying.
"No..." Fennec said with disbelief, "No, no, you told me they're all right!"
"Jacob, to the best of our knowledge they're still ali-" Murphy began but was interrupted when Jacob Virtus grabbed her by the collar and slammed her against the wall.
"WHERE ARE THEY??!!!" He yelled. Amelia pulled out her multitool and aimed it at Jacob's head.
"Let go of her!" Amelia shouted. Jacob ignored her.
"WHERE??!!!" Jacob yelled again, he was seconds away from breaking Murphy's neck, and Murphy knew it.
"A mercenary named Walker kidnapped them," Murphy said frantically but not with fear. She was too strong for that, "Possibly to used them as ransom for the Atlas Fragment!"
Jacob let go. He looked up at Murphy, "You listen to me..." He growled, "You are going to-"
Fennec suddenly felt a sharp pain in his head, as Amelia pistol whipped him, causing him to lose consciousness.
