I know I'm not the only one with a lot of interest in virtual photography in NMS, screenshotting and sharing interesting creatures and vistas. Thought I'd start a thread for those of us who like to take pics IRL, for real landscape shots.
Here are some of mine, all taken within a few hours of where I live here in the mountains of NC. One waterfall shot, autumn shot a few down, was right over the border in TN. Not great quality, my most recent camera is just a Nikon Coolpix L830. I just enjoy going out and taking shots and enjoying the outdoors. My only bragging right I guess is that a shot of mine ended up on the cover of a local Chamber of Commerce's brochure... without my knowing it! I walk into a gas station, and on the rack of brochures see one and am like, "Wait a minute... that sure looks familiar... hey, that's Dan standing there! I took that!!" (I don't mind that they did it, but they should have asked, could have provided a higher res version of it, since the one on my site was shrunk.)
Of course, unlike NMS, most of the stuff here will have countless thousands of shots of it out there already! Many times with my shots I have to wait some time to get everyone out of the picture; many of these places get very crowded, never feel too alone out there (unfortunately!).
Cool sunlion ! Do you actually drive the truck in that game? Or do they drive automatically?
You start by taking driving jobe for other companies, then buy a truck with those earnings, and pay for upgrades as you earn more cash by doing deiveries as your own business. You can buy and upgrade a garage. (I have 4 other drivers (NPC) and trucks (That I bought ingame) all slowly being upgraded. You can drive all over UK and Europe. I have the Scandinavian and Going East DLC too , but basic is UK, part of France, Germany and Holland If I recall. (cannot remember all the countries offhand)
Very cool! The top two shots look a lot like landscapes you'd see in the Canadian Rockies, which is very high on my "wanna go" list! I'm also fascinated by high-altitude locales and climbing... though my lungs (and probably wallet) would never be up to it, I love reading about others' adventures in the Himalayas, Karakoram, and such.
A picture I took while on vacation. More should be on the way. I would have them all at once, but i'm having trouble getting them off my phone. I sent them to my email yesterday (or was it 2 days ago?) and i'm JUST getting one of them now... lol
